PARKING RATES AT THE PIER

Cruise Ship at the PierIf you are planning to drive to your port of embarkation, remember to budget for daily parking fees.  Most Cruise Terminals offer convenient parking for cruise passengers right at the pier.  Many are security-patrolled and designed to accommodate both RV's and buses, as well as offering handicapped parking.

Listed below are approximate daily or weekly parking rates at North America's busiest cruise terminals (rates are approximate and can change without notice).  Fees are usually collected by gate attendants at the time you park.  Since many of these terminals do not take checks or credit cards, please have cash on hand.

PASSPORT REQUIREMENT INFORMATION

PASSPORT ALERT-PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT NEW PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS
FOR U.S. AND CANADIAN CITIZENS.

Dear future UNI-Travel cruise client,

Because you have expressed interest in a cruise, we want to make sure that you are aware of the latest information regarding passport requirements to assist in your future planning efforts.

In April 2005, the U.S. Department of State announced details of the proposed “Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative”. If enacted, U.S. and Canadian citizens will be required to carry a passport for travel to or from certain countries/areas that were previously exempt. As you are making future travel plans, you'll want to keep the proposed implementation dates in mind:

  • Beginning December 31, 2005, a passport or other accepted document* will be required for all air and sea travel to or from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Central and South America.
  • Beginning December 31, 2006, a passport or other accepted document* will be required for all air and sea travel to or from Mexico and Canada.
  • Beginning December 31, 2007, a passport or other accepted document* will be required for all air, sea and land border crossings.

To avoid a last-minute rush, we encourage you to obtain or ensure you have a valid passport. You'll find more information and helpful resources at the links below.

We look forward to welcoming you on board a cruise reserved with UNI-Travel in the future.

Obtaining a Passport in the U.S.

Visa Requirements for U.S. and Canadian Citizens

Please refer to each cruise line to find out their particular document requirements other than the passport information provided here.

*Although other valid documentation may be sufficient in some circumstances, the United States Department of Homeland Security has not yet made a final determination as to which forms of documentation may serve as a valid alternative to a passport. For more information, please see http://www.travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html which is the United States Department of State's website for passport information, and follow the links to "New Requirements for Travelers Between the United States and the Western Hemisphere."
